Kundgebung für Demokratie, Menschenrechte und Vielfalt

On Sunday, 02 February 2025, we from the Amnesty International Bonn City Group, with the support of various organizations from Bonn's civil society, are organizing a rally for democracy, human rights and diversity on Bonn's market square from 12:00 to approx. 13:30. Be there, because: Only together can we make a difference!

A few weeks before the Bundestag elections, we would like to set an example for democracy, human rights and diversity here in Bonn with this rally!

The early Bundestag elections on February 23, 2025 are taking place in turbulent times. Inhumane positions are increasingly dominating public discourse. Actors are also acting strategically, deliberately spreading fear and instrumentalizing emotions. This leads to real violence. Hate crime is at an all-time high. This contradicts our values of respect, dignity and a culture of discourse based on human rights.

We rely on a society that develops joint solutions and respects human rights. A society that does not buy into the narrative of excessive demands and exclusion. A society that stands for a just, solidary and secure future. No matter what we look like, what we believe in or who we love. A society in which we live together as equals and in which human rights set the tone.

We would be delighted if you would join us at the rally on February 2, 2025 to set an example for democracy, human rights and diversity in Bonn!
