Kultur im Garten - Klezmer Muskel Kater - Bessarabian Rhapsody

In the organizer's words:

"Bessarabian Rhapsody" includes traditional pieces and contemporary pieces by the Moldavian klezmer composer Emil Kroitor. The Moldovan accordionist Igor Birsan will play, accompanied by Giuseppe Sciarratta (wind instruments). The traditional repertoire from Bessarabia, a historical country that today largely belongs to the Republic of Moldova, has had a very important influence on the development of klezmer music. Many songs of the old Eastern European repertoire are dedicated to Bessarabia or have "Moldova" or "Bessarabia" in their titles.
