Kropinski Köhnlein Duo

Guitar and piano - when you read that, you wonder what it might sound like. When you hear it, you can feel it: Two musicians are playing here who have an incredible amount to tell each other and us. Even though they have known each other for around three decades. Or perhaps precisely because of this. Here we encounter mature musicality and a fresh joy of playing on the basis of a sophisticated technique, which both musicians no longer need to demonstrate, but place entirely at the service of the musical message in the often spontaneous dialogs.

Kropinski and Köhnlein play their own compositions. Each of these compositions with great improvisational freedom is a kind of character piece, a world of its own in the wide cosmos of music, far removed from the usual clichés, experimental and yet enjoyable, idiosyncratic and yet beautiful.
