Edith Niedieck lives in Cologne and worked as a senior copywriter for leading agencies in Singapore and Munich after studying business administration at the University of Cologne. Her work has appeared in various advertising yearbooks. Her first crime novel was published in 2019. Since then, her crime novels have been published by several publishing houses. She was nominated for the Wortrandale Berlin literary prize in 2020 with her debut short story "Totpunkt". Further literary competitions brought her success. In 2022, she was invited by the Literaturhaus Den Haag Deutsche Bibliothek. Readings with her are an experience.
Her novels are regarded as "lively, sophisticated crime stories with interesting characters that are so much fun to read". Edith Niedieck is a member of the "Syndikat", the association for German-language crime literature, and the "Mörderische Schwestern" and finds people and their networks mercilessly exciting.
