(Minimal Non-Pop)

Minimal Non-Pop is written in big letters on the banners of SixTurnsNine. The Düsseldorf-based trio's very own musical cocktail is the perfect soundtrack for music maniacs who love light and lightness, but also know darkness.
Drum loops from the golden era of trip-hop and haunting bass lines reduced to the essentials go hand in hand with vintage keyboards that evoke memories of the great days of proto-goth. All of this is supported by wonderfully warm and bluesy female vocals that effortlessly and always authentically oscillate between great theatricality, absolute warmth of heart, fragility and casual hippie vibes.
The result is a unique cosmos that will captivate fans of Massive Attack and Portishead as well as fans of Siouxsie or Joy Division.

Anja Valpiani (vocals), Lutz Bauer (keys, electronics) and Philip Akoto (bass) came together in 2016 and have been touring clubs and festivals across Germany ever since. The band is currently presenting their latest album "Borders".

Present Paradox
(ambient rock, post-punk)

The present is not always easy to penetrate, but at times cryptic and mysterious. Present Paradox tells of this. The result is both melancholic and danceable. Expansive and intimate at the same time. Varied and yet familiar. Paradox, after all. Equipped with keyboard, guitar, sampler and a varied set, always ready to give their all on stage and sink into the songs. Present Paradox is currently touring Germany with his latest album A Trace To Keep Control. Together with multi-instrumentalist Danny Elevator and through the skillful use of live loops and effects, David Kleinekottmann recreates the sound of his last album and its predecessor. "With dark vocals and thoughtful lyrics, the sound draws you into a kind of
warm cave that contemporaries such as Beak, Radiohead or the (early) Editors also inhabit." (Tonspion - 2022)
