Klassenkampf in der Literatur: Lesung mit Mesut Bayraktar

Together with Mesut Bayraktar and his new collection of stories "Die Lage" (Autumnus Verlag, Berlin), we want to discuss the interweaving of literature and everyday political life.
With poetic power and an unvarnished sense of reality, Mesut Bayraktar describes the silent anger and loud rage of people who rarely appear in literature.
These are the disappointed hopefuls, the struggling oppressed, the futile lovers. The people from our class, for whom capitalism brings a life full of defeats and who try to get up again and again. The situation confronts literature and language with noise, work, confinement, longing - with lonely bodies and their resistance. A cycle of stories about encounters, conflict and desire.

It will be an evening full of class struggle, literature and hope for a different world. A reading that calls us to become aware of our situation and to resist!
