Kitzeleien - the dance of rage
Guest performance by Theater Spagat/Munich.
The talented girl with a passion for dance is called Odette - like the white swan in "Swan Lake". Uncle Ronald would like to play dolls with her - in the bathroom. In secret. The door is locked. For years. Odette remains silent, represses and is disgusted with herself. And she becomes angry with herself and the world. As a touring musical dancer, she pumps herself full of drugs and alcohol. Her promising career goes down the drain. At some point, as a young woman, she manages to report her tormentor of many years and bring him to court. Together with her mother, who still refuses to accept what has happened, she goes into therapy. And the anger and the dance still remain. But at some point, the grown-up Odette can take the little Odette inside her by the hand...
Vicious, funny, poetic, sensitive, highly emotional, explosive, liberating and incredibly elegant - a danced play about one of the most pressing problems in our society - the sexual abuse of minors by relatives or close family friends. In 2021, 15,500 cases of sexualized violence against children and the dissemination of images of abuse were reported (statistics from the Federal Ministry of the Interior).
