In the summer of 1963, 17-year-old Baby travels with her parents to a hotel in the Catskills. One evening, she follows the seductive sounds coming from the staff quarters. There she meets Johnny, the hotel's dance instructor, who is as experienced as Baby is naive. Baby soon becomes Johnny's pupil in dance and love.
