Timezone Records recording artist Khalif Wailin' Walter is without a doubt one of Chicago's blues musicians carrying on the deep tradition. Stinging and singing guitar work reminiscent of blues greats Otis Rush, Albert King, Lonnie Brooks and Albert Collins show that Khalif's music is firmly rooted in the Chicago/Texas electric blues guitar tradition. It is infused with modern funk and innovative arrangements to create his own unique sound. His sultry vocals are smooth and seductive one moment and passionately overpowering the next. This is a buttery salad of funk, soul and rock wrapped in Chicago blues.

Khalif "Wailin'" Walter toured under the wing of his uncle and mentor, Carl Weathersby, a 12-time W.C. Handy nominee. He performed alongside Alligator recording artist and blues legend Lonnie Brooks (2-time Grammy nominee) for over 4 years. Khalif has shared the stage with blues greats such as Grammy Award winner Taj Mahal, Grammy Award winner Otis Rush, Junior Wells, Bernard Allison, Grammy and W.C. Handy nominee Pinetop Perkins, 2-time Grammy nominee Billy Branch, Grammy Award winner Sugar Blue, and Blues Music award winner Louisiana Red.
