Chain reactions - on the myofascial muscle pathways towards stability, mobility and relaxation
Everything is interconnected: Our connective tissue has wrapped all muscles, bones and organs with a thin sheath and every single part of our body exists as a piece of the whole, influencing everything and being influenced by everything.
The fascial tissue of our body is of great importance in yoga, as it transmits forces and coordinates movements.
Our fascia works hand in hand with our muscles and, in addition to movement impulses, also reacts to emotions, feelings, sensory impressions and thoughts.
Every feeling and every thought influences the muscles, as does our physical posture. Our emotions manifest themselves in our tissue and shape it.
Constant pressure to perform, worries or emotional overload can cause immense stress and virtually flood the body with harmful hormones, leading to tension and, in the long term, to adhesions in the fasciae.
With the knowledge of fascia research, we can refine what we already do in yoga. Targeted impulses act directly on the movement receptors of the fascia and help to loosen even old adhesions that cause the body to become stiff.
In fascia yoga, asanas are not simply held motionless, but are enlivened by small movements that resemble a vibration, pulsation or swinging.
To maintain our body-wide fascial network, we therefore need different stimuli such as tension and stretching, or force, pressure and compression.
In this 3-hour workshop, we will not only explore the exciting possibilities of fascia yoga, but also the close connection between the body, feelings and thoughts, as well as the basic attitude with which we encounter the world.
It doesn't matter whether you have only recently started practicing yoga or are already an advanced practitioner.
Daniel will show you beginner-friendly to more challenging methods of addressing your fascia, what you should pay attention to and how you can integrate them into your individual practice.
