3000km of wilderness and freedom on the Yukon
Lecture by Robert Neu
Daring or madness? Robert Neu sets off in a small inflatable boat, packed with supplies and camera equipment, to travel the 3,185 km long Yukon River. With his ultralight packraft, he wants to cross the North American wilderness of Canada and Alaska, paddling from the glaciers of the headwater lakes in British Columbia to the mouth of the windswept Bering Sea. This is followed by months of seclusion on and along the river, during which he only meets people sporadically - often local Indians and Yupik Eskimos. Otherwise, he is thrown back on himself and leads a touchingly pristine life in nature, characterized by simplicity, honesty and breathtaking silence. And of close encounters with beavers, moose, eagles and bears. Significantly, the greatest dangers to his adventure come from an arsonist and a knifeman who want to destroy his dinghy ... A rousing account of the realization of a lifelong dream!
The lecture with Robert Neu is a plea for the realization of one's own dreams!
