Julia Haas: "Ein Zuhause für Tiere, nicht für Menschen"

Julia Haas about her project:

"In our fast-paced world, which is largely geared towards productivity, efficiency, consumption and profit, a balance with deceleration, contentment and
appreciation is often neglected. Yet in all the hustle and bustle, there is a place where time seems to stand still. And I was able to accompany and document this special place for over two years: The "Katzeninsel e.V" sanctuary in Rothensee, Magdeburg."

"Not only the animals living there are treated with kindness, but also every person who wants to visit the sanctuary. This is not about
about having to do something, but about existing in peace and quiet. To take a deep breath. And to come down. With this series, I would like to give the viewer a bit of peace and contentment
and encourage them to visit the farm themselves to realize that it doesn't always have to be about productivity, profit and consumption. I would also like to pay tribute to the recently deceased Konrad Trummer and express my best wishes for the future to the new board under the leadership of Mrs. and Mr. Schneider."
