The JugendJazzOrchester NRW celebrates its 50th anniversary with a brilliant anniversary concert and great guests in the concert hall of the Cologne University of Music and Dance. Four renowned "alumni" return for the "Decades - 50 Years JJO NRW" program: Frank Chastenier (former WDR Big Band), Caris Hermes (WDR Jazz Prize 2024), Paul Heller (WDR Big Band) and Jeff Cascaro learned the basics of the big band craft during many work phases of the NRW selection ensemble, gained performance experience at countless concerts and established long-lasting musical and professional connections on many tours. The four "special guests" have been closely associated with the orchestra for many years as soloists and teachers.
