In May, Haus am Waldsee presents a comprehensive solo exhibition by the British and Berlin-based artist Josephine Pryde. Since the beginning of her artistic career, Pryde has explored the creation and consumption of images, focusing in particular on photography and its associated modes of production. She challenges her chosen medium by adapting and questioning concepts and ideas generated by photographic images from fields such as fashion, advertising and science. The exhibition at Haus am Waldsee will bring together Pryde's earlier works with new pieces, continuing her negotiation of the medium to question established modes of perception as well as expectations of the representation of the visible.
