Joseph Haydn's groundbreaking oratorio "The Creation" from 1798 is paradigmatic for the musical exploration of "nature": hardly any other work expresses the gratitude for man's habitat in such an unapologetically joyful and detailed way. Haydn's ingenious, imaginative music with hymn-like choruses of angels, realistic (occasionally witty) imitations of nature and just the right mixture of folk melody and erudite compositional technique was a real hit at its premiere - and remains so to this day!

With this timeless song of praise to the creation of our earth, you can experience the extraordinarily homogeneous and sensitive choral sound of the Konzertchor Westfalica of the CHORAKADEMIE am Konzerthaus Dortmund e.V. together with the Orchestre de Picardie from Dortmund's twin city Amiens in France.
