This is probably every singer and songwriter's dream: to write a hit. Jonathan Zelter achieved this from his very first steps as a lyricist and composer from his living room at home. The moment he unsuspectingly jotted down the last words and notes for "Ein Teil von meinem Herzen", he began a journey marked by great success. Today, his then first single has over 16 million views on YouTube alone, has been covered by numerous singers - including most recently by chanson legend Mary Roos - and in the rankings and playlists of the most popular German-language love songs, his song "Ein Teil von meinem Herzen" has been in a neck-and-neck race with hits such as Herbert Grönemeyer's "Halt mich" and Silbermond's "Das Beste" for years. His songs have 25 million streams on Spotify, his videos on YouTube have more than 25 million clicks and most recently his song "Momente wie diese" spent several weeks in the top 50 of the TikTok Germany charts.
