Seraing, a small town near Liège: in 1980, the steelworks closes and steel caster Fabrice suddenly finds himself without a job. One day, when he no longer knows what to do, he leaves his home and his family without leaving a note. The film deals with the emotional, family and health problems of an entire generation of laid-off workers and the drastic deterioration in the living conditions of an entire region.
