Jawknee Music (left) combines multi-faceted arrangements and an unmistakable voice to create a unique sound. Tobey Trueblood (right) combines German lyrics, bittersweet melodies and punk influences with gripping live energy.

Jawknee Music has attracted attention in recent years with three studio albums, "My Turn", "Backgrounds" and "HEAVY HEART" and hundreds of concerts in Germany and throughout Europe, as well as numerous praising press reviews. Behind JAWKNEE MUSIC, although the songs often sound like more elaborate arrangements, is the musical all-rounder Johannes Steffen, who is also the singer in A HURRICANE'S REVENGE and drummer in MATCHES. His unmistakable voice can sound soft and melancholy as well as hard and rough and contributes significantly to the shaping of a unique sound that has become more and more established over the years. The presentation of the songs is also varied - both the solo and the band tracks (cello, drums, electric guitar) were mostly recorded entirely by the band themselves.

Tobey Trueblood is songwriter Tobias Körner from Cologne. He has been capturing the zeitgeist with his songs since 2011. Bittersweet melodies and a pinch of punk are the ingredients. Since his third album (2019) 'Egal Wohin', Tobey has been writing lyrics in German and has been accompanied by various musicians over the years.the current line-up in the full-band version consists of Ingo Konrath on bass andAndreas Wels on drums.countless gigs in the Cologne area have been played over the last few years. Highlights were certainly the gigs with Jupiter Jones in the LMH as well as all the gigs with Tim Vantol (Dortmund, Cologne, Bonn, Münster)The fourth album 'Gedeih & Verderb` was released on 31.01.23
