Starting a scene is your chance to set the stage for magic — and in this workshop, you’ll learn how to do it with confidence and creativity. Discover techniques to kick off a scene and set it up for success, captivating your partner and the audience from the very first moment.

We’ll explore bold emotions, quirky characters (or creatures?), killer lines, daring choices, and even the magic of a well-timed dramatic stare. Embrace the joy of strong beginnings and watch where they lead!

Level

Improvisers of all levels are welcome, and feedback will be tailored to where you’re at.

About the teacher

Edyta is an experienced improviser with over eight years of experience. Her improv adventure started in Warsaw, Poland, with Wigwam Impro Theater. After moving to Munich, she became a regular performer with The Blue Couch improv group, where she performs in longform shows. She also leads workshops at Rice Cookie Improv. In 2024, her love for improv and connecting with people led her to co-found Edge Improv Lab. The same year, she co-founded The Mind Meld, a platform that brings together English-speaking improv communities.

Important things to know

We highly recommend comfortable clothes which allow for movement and possibly sitting on the floor.

We ask that you do not take photos or videos during the session.

The workshop is in English.

You may cancel for a full refund until one week before the start. Cancellation after that date is not possible.
