Jackboots, bomber jacket and bald head.
This is how many people still imagine the typical right-wing extremist today.
But it has not been that simple for a long time.
In his book "Intellectual Right-Wing Extremists", extremism researcher Prof. Dr. Armin Pfahl-Traughber shows the potential danger of a group that has made it its mission to find majorities for right-wing extremist positions and establish them in the middle of society.
Worldwide, but especially in Germany, the so-called "New Right" is gaining more and more support and thus political influence.
As an Amnesty International youth/university group, we want to discuss this with Prof. Dr. Armin Pfahl-Traughber.
We want to find out who exactly the "New Right" are, what they want to achieve in Germany and, above all, what ways there are to stop them.
In cooperation with the Cologne Adult Education Center and the Kölnische Gesellschaft für Christlich Jüdische Zusammenarbeit e.V., we therefore invite you to a reading and a subsequent discussion.
On December 4 at 6:30 pm at the FORUM Volkshochschule in the Museum am Neumarkt, Cäcilienstraße 29-33, we will be talking to Prof. Dr. Armin Pfahl-Traughber about his book and his views on the "New Right" movement.
The event is free of charge and open to all.
