The exhibition in Cologne shows Schiefer's new work Inside|Out Outside|In, which impressively showcases Schiefer's unique talent for light and shadow, as well as an impressive selection of his favorites from recent years.

Subtle encounters between man and space unfold in the pictures in the exhibition. The Ikigai Room in the Agnesviertel, with its inspiring atmosphere, provides the perfect setting for this special show.

For those interested, the vernissage on February 22, 2025 also offers a wonderful opportunity to get to know the artist personally and learn more about his inspirations and techniques.

Schiefer's works are characterized by a remarkable sensitivity that encourages the viewer to see everyday things with new eyes. His works invite us to "pause, look deeper and ask: What is really going on here? What do these people and places tell us without revealing it directly?" His photographs are therefore more than just images; they are reflections of the human experience, captured in a fleeting moment that nevertheless has a timeless resonance.

Schiefer himself describes his photography as a "search for the inconspicuous, that which is easily overlooked at first glance, but which carries a deeper meaning." In particular, the "spontaneous, sometimes bizarre scenes that we encounter in life" tell a story all of their own, because these "moments possess an authenticity that cannot be forced, a quiet narrative that bubbles beneath the surface and reveals more about people, their idiosyncrasies and the dynamics of situations than is apparent at first glance".
