ISLANDS OF THE FUTURE 2024: Discover deceleration!

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., the cultural series ISLANDS OF THE FUTURE will celebrate its premiere in the International Art & Culture Quarter Schiffbauergasse. Once a year, the cultural sponsors of Schiffbauergasse will dedicate themselves experimentally, artistically, musically and performatively to a topic of the future. Under this year's motto "Discover Deceleration!", the T-Werk Potsdam, the Hans Otto Theater, the fabrik Potsdam, the Theaterschiff, the museum FLUXUS+ and the Waschhaus Potsdam present a diverse program in cooperation with the state capital of Potsdam and the Schiffbauergasse discovers slowness. Concert and visual art - pop art and surrealism merge into an audio-visual adventure in which nostalgia meets artificial intelligence.

RAFTSIDE is the band of visual artist and composer Filip Markiewicz and drummer and producer Lars Neugebauer, who use elements of pop and electronic music to create an experimental playground between visual art and music. The concerts are audio-visual spectacles for the senses, where pop art and surrealism meet nostalgia and artificial intelligence in an explosion of sonic and visual brilliance.
