Inga Lühning, known from her many years of collaboration with the Frankfurt Nu-Jazz Collective [re:jazz] as well as her strong connection with the Düsseldorf pianist Sebastian Gahler, the "Poetry Clan" of the Cologne composer and pianist Andreas Schnermann and her two own albums under the band name "Lühning" presents her third album "Daughters and Sons"

On this album, Inga Lühning once again devotes herself to her passion and strength: writing her own songs. Her music cannot be pigeonholed into a single traditional genre, but instead draws on jazz, pop and singer-songwriter music, sometimes with bluesy, sometimes folky influences.
It is fascinating to hear how all of this - held together by Inga Lühning's beautiful and virtuosic, captivating voice - comes together to form an overall sound that literally sucks itself into the ears.

What are the pieces about? In a nutshell: about being human. Always evolving, ideally to become the best version of yourself. With all the obstacles, experiences, difficulties, moments of happiness, everyday things - life. What does it feel like to be in love? How does being creative work in the face of everyday family life, with two small children? How do you make the transition from being alone, first to being a partner, then to being a mother, and what does that do to your relationship with your own parents? What do you do with all the doubts about your art, your appearance, your age? Especially in the face of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube? All of this has been Inga Lühning's life in recent years, and she invites listeners to take part in it in the most beautiful way imaginable - through her music.
