Improtheater: Out of Context

How is it even possible for us to understand each other? So much of what we say is fragmented, opaque and ambiguous in itself. Nevertheless, we usually know what someone means because the context gives our utterances meaning. But what happens when a sentence is taken out of context and thrown into a new one? Can it then shine in a new light?

Franziska Pauli and Tobias Sailer use improvised theater to shed light on the importance of context in communication and play with (mis)understanding. They immerse themselves in possible worlds, create absurd situations and drag the background into the limelight.
