Im weißen Rössl

IN THE WEISSES RÖSSL ON LAKE WOLFGANGSEE, HAPPINESS STANDS AT THE DOOR AND CALLS OUT TO YOU: "GOOD MORNING! COME IN - AND FORGET YOUR WORRIES.

The "Weißes Rössl" is a place of longing for all kinds of different characters. Waiter Leopold is trying to win the favour of his boss, landlady Josepha Vogelhuber, but she has her eye on her regular guest, lawyer Dr. Siedler. He, in turn, is interested in Ottilie, who has stayed at the "Weißes Rössl" with her father, the Berlin jersey manufacturer Giesecke. Sigismund Sülzheimer, the son of Giesecke's competitor, has also arrived. He is to marry Ottilie in order to put an end to the legal dispute between the two companies. Sigismund, meanwhile, prefers to court the lovely Klärchen, the daughter of poor Professor Hinzelmann.

The idyllic setting on Lake Wolfgangsee becomes the scene of love chaos, competition and then the emperor arrives!
