Im Herzen eines Jahrhunderts – Ein Fest zum 100. Geburtstag von Etel Adnan

In the organizer's words:

Etel Adnan would have been 100 years old on February 24, 2025. Born in Beirut, the poet, painter, journalist and philosopher spent her life between Lebanon, France and California - she found a home in literature and art. Her work reflects a great, lived exchange between the Arab and Western worlds, combining different art forms, media, languages and cultures. Together with the literary translator and co-editor of the Adnan anthology "Storm without Wind", Klaudia Ruschkowski, we invite you to a celebration for this wonderful artist. Together we will listen to Etel Adnan's texts and read from them, let her be present through short films, talk about her and her work. We invite everyone: Bring along your favorite text by Etel Adnan! There will also be Lebanese street food and music.
