In the organizer's words:

"i choose eternal time / and the right pocket is full of forgiveness / and the left pocket is full of shame", writes Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir (born 1987) in her poetry debut Eilífðarnón (Partus Forlag 2019), which was published in German translation by Jón Thor Gíslason and Wolfgang Schiffer under the title Ewigzeit by ELIF VERLAG in 2022. In it, the lyrical ego embarks on a journey across spatiotemporal dimensions and surreal mental images: "the days melt together on the slope / the dream melts together with the days / I melt together with the images". The poems take unpredictable turns, are full of echoes of Nordic mythology and fairytale-like metaphors of nature and animals. Between dream and waking state, truth and deception, the lyrical ego travels along existential questions: "nothing is as it seems / everything / is / many things". Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir is not only considered one of the most exciting poets in Iceland at the moment, her work is multidisciplinary and spans poetry, music and visual art. She is part of the electro-pop duo aYia and co-founder of the Kunstschlager gallery in Reykjavík. Her latest book Gluggi - draumskrá (Tunglið forlag 2021) was published in 2021 and comprises a list of dreams.
