With "I am always running behind" - Experiences of Jewish women, the Stolpersteine - Filme gegen das Vergessen series invites you to follow the lives of Bella Traubkatz, Irene Eber, Gudrun Goeseke, Frieda Göhre and Rosa Teplitzki and talk about exclusion and migration from a feminine perspective. The productions from the film series show how Gudrun Goeseke rescues the names and dates of Halle's Jewish women, accompany Irene Eber in Jerusalem as she recapitulates her life story from Halle to the Warsaw Ghetto to her own professorship in Israel and pay tribute to the life of Bella Traubkatz, who supported her better-known brothers Lion and Martin Feuchtwanger as an editor. Frieda Göhre is a seamstress and mother of a child, then falls mentally ill and is persecuted and murdered as a result. Another film is dedicated to her short life. Another short film focuses on the lives of three women in Halle's Jewish community today and how flight and exclusion are inscribed in contemporary Jewish life.
To commemorate the Holocaust, Puschkino is showing five documentaries focusing on female perspectives in cooperation with the Halle City Museum, the Jewish community and the Multimedia and Authorship Master's program.
