A musical-philosophical salon evening

This very special salon evening with the well-known philosopher and former Minister of State for Culture and the Media Julian Nida-Rümelin and pianist Maharani Chakrabarti will not only be musical, but also philosophical: based on the fundamental ideas of humanism and the Enlightenment, the discussion will explore the extent to which Beethoven can be considered a humanist and the extent to which this way of thinking can also be recognized in his instrumental music. The lecture and discussion will alternate with a selection of Beethoven's piano sonatas.
