Workshop: Do It Yourself-Magazine. Eine Einführung in die Herstellung von Zines

In the organizer's words:

They do not require binding, are compact and can be reproduced quickly - the characteristics of zines (from the English magazine) have been used by subcultures and political movements for over 100 years: groups as diverse as the civil rights movement or feminist art collectives have already used this medium to disseminate their positions.

Zines are handmade booklets that are folded from a sheet of paper. In this workshop you will learn how your ideas can find their place in this sophisticated format. After a brief introduction to the history and significance of zines as a creative medium, you will learn about three different design methods. Then it's time to try them out: Whether you're a zine newbie or an advanced artist, you can play with different techniques and materials to create a unique zine. Fun with creative self-expression is guaranteed.

All basic materials such as paper, scissors, glue and pens will be provided. However, you are welcome to bring additional materials such as special papers, photos, stickers or other crafting utensils.
