An evening of superlatives. Folk music's superband Hepta Polka meets DJ, producer, soloist and bandleader [dunkelbunt]. Explosive sets, electronic-instrumental handshakes, grooving and eclectic sounds: pure music, handmade, energetic, surprising and danceable!

Hepta Polka, an 8-piece multi-instrumentalist band from Hamburg, Berlin and Copenhagen, fills the stages of northern Germany and the world with their very own rousing interpretation of folk music. Clever arrangements and an "exuberant [live performance]" (unser.lübeck, Echolot Festival) make the urgency and joy of dancing unavoidable, bringing the music exactly where it comes from, into the hearts of the people at that moment.

Whether original compositions or traditionals - in Hepta Polka the metabolism of eight fundamentally different characters with incisive experiences at folk festivals in Scandinavia, Serbia and the world culminates in a highly energetic chimera that spits out full-length sets at top speed. The band has already managed to sweep a total of 2,000 people off their feet at three sold-out concerts at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. Their second studio album Sommerdroom was released in 2024, along with another EP full of Hepta Polka live sessions.

But now: Vocal interludes and an uncountable array of instruments from nyckelharpa to Hardanger fiddle or Irish banjo couldn't be happier to meet [dunkelbunt] later in the evening, before the lively 8 Hepta Polkas move into the audience and leave the stage completely to none other than [dunkelbunt] themselves!

Currently based in Vienna, the cosmopolitan [dunkelbunt] pursues a genuinely transglobal agenda as a DJ, producer, soloist and bandleader and has been one of Europe's innovative protagonists of the electronic and world music scene for over 15 years.
