Under the existing motto, the format was held for the first time on April 22 and 23, 2023 in Jena.

Cultural cooperation between Jena and Saale-Unstrut Tourism

The new event format was developed in cooperation with Saale-Unstrut Tourism - and originally the city of Hof - as well as many other committed stakeholders from the Jena-Saale-Unstrut regions. In addition, a thematically new offer is being created, which visitors would like to see based on the survey conducted as part of the future concept for the Jena markets and city festivals.

After hosting the "handmade days" in Hof once in 2024, the market is now returning to Jena in its entirety.

Fancy feasting and discovering something new? Guests can look forward to special culinary delights on Jena's market square - all handmade, of course! Regional wine and beer products, handmade ice cream, game specialties, oils and much more are waiting to be discovered! Of course, there is also a vegetarian and vegan range.

Delicious samples await visitors at some of the stands.

Fans of creativity and handicrafts are in just the right place here: from the wood workshop to blacksmithing, pottery and leather goods to colorful birdhouses and stuffed animals, there is a wide range to discover at the Handmade Days. Here you can not only get to know the diverse creative ideas, but also the imaginative minds behind them! The handmakers from the Jena and Saale-Unstrut regions present their products and are delighted to welcome an interested audience.
