Martha is pregnant and her first step is to go to the authorities: to give the child up for adoption. Over the next few months, she wanders through Berlin looking for support and understanding from her family, her colleagues and her boyfriend as her emotional state spirals out of control. Director Kida Khodr Ramadan, previously better known for tough gangster dramas, adapts Antje Schall's screenplay with touching sensitivity, while Lilith Stangenberg goes through acting extremes.
