With a raised middle finger rather than an index finger, Götz Widmann analyzes almost everything in his songs in his typically irreverent and humorous way, from the very small wonders of everyday life to the sex life of galaxies. Perhaps the only thing he minces his words about is the joint paper that is about to be glued shut. Götz Widmann is sometimes shockingly honest, but for all his tongue-in-cheek malice, a radical love of humanity runs through his songs, a never-tiring call for independent thinking, a deep bow to the right of the individual to resist stultification, hatred and tyranny.
