14-16h Mini oil painting with Helena

In this workshop, Helena will show you how to build up layers of paint, make preliminary sketches on paper, transfer them to small-format canvases, create the light and dark underpainting and then work everything out in color.

In order to make oil painting as sustainable as possible, no solvents are used at all and only linseed oil is used as a painting medium.

17-19h Zines with Patricia (Tante Trash)

What exactly is a zine? "Zine" is the abbreviation of "magazine". It is a small booklet that is made by hand and can be easily reproduced and distributed.

The zine culture has its origins in the science fiction fan community of the 1930s. Zines then established themselves in the punk scene in the 70s, and in the 90s they were a mouthpiece for feminism. To this day, they are a popular subculture medium for informing and entertaining others.

In the workshop, we will design a zine together. A short writing exercise will help you brainstorm at the beginning. Then you will design your zine using snippets from beautiful old magazines, books and postcards. You are also welcome to bring your own material. I'll show you tips and tricks to make zine-making even more fun. Very important: You don't need to know or prepare anything. From 14 years.
