The year is 2029 and technology and surgery are now so advanced that many people have parts of their bodies augmented or replaced with artificial components in order to improve certain abilities and acquire new ones. Even the brain can be replaced by a cyberbrain, which can then be fed with digital data. Packaged in a biocapsule, the shell, each cyborg contains human brain cells with the ghost, which contains the identity and personality. All the more threatening is the appearance of an unknown hacker, called the Puppet Master, who is able to overcome the shells' security barriers and thus feed the cyborgs' brains with false information.
