"Stranded in Kiel - Lifeworlds of Refugees" is an impressive art exhibition that focuses on the personal experiences and perspectives of refugees from the Kiel state shelter. Over the course of two weeks, artworks and photographs created by the refugees themselves will be presented, documenting their stories, hopes and challenges.
The exhibition will be complemented by a series of talks and exchange formats on key topics such as stories of flight, historical refugee movements in Schleswig-Holstein, as well as refugees' views of Kiel and their lives in the city. Visitors have the opportunity to talk to the artists and learn more about their dreams, goals and personal experiences. The exhibition promotes an understanding and emphatic exchange and provides an authentic insight into the lives of refugees in Kiel.
