Ukrainian singer Ganna Gryniva, who trained in Weimar, is no longer an insider tip, but is now considered one of the most impressive protagonists of the local jazz and world music scene. Her songs combine beauty, sophistication and playful freedom. In the master guitarist Tal Arditi she has found a perfect ally, under whose magic hands six strings can sound like 88 piano keys. The duo plays original compositions and jazz standards, but above all devotes itself to the reinterpretation of Ukrainian folk songs in an intimately touching and refreshingly unsentimental way.
