Gallowstreet are a brass band from Amsterdam, consisting of seven wind players and an explosive drummer. Their mission: To reimagine the repertoire of a brass band with a melange of big band swing, hip-hop grooves, disco and house sounds. Gallowstreet use this wide range of musical genres to tell stories with their compositions, most of them beat-driven, all of them of anthemic quality. Their stage shows are phenomenal, their relentless rhythms creating a pull that easily matches the intensity of a first-class DJ set.

The band has now been touring with their avant-garde brass music for over ten years and has become a great source of inspiration for the young, up-and-coming European brass band scene. Not a week goes by without a Gallowstreet song being rearranged and covered by young, enthusiastic brass bands.

With their latest album "A Trip Worth Making", the Gallowstreet crew reflect on their journey together and review the challenges, opportunities and celebrations they have experienced along the way, both as a group and as individual musicians. It's a culmination of the sound they've developed over the years, effectively blending sing-along anthems, intelligently orchestrated drops and builds, and emotionally charged riffs into an album that delivers some of the heaviest horn lines the world has ever heard.
