Fusion Social Dance Heidelberg

Hey lovely dancing people,

Let's dance Fusion together - it is imrovisational partner dance!

With focus on connection and musicality you can mix up your moves and improvise together without gender expectations regarding your dance role!

Before the social dancing party we want to share our fusion dance experience with you in a 45 min opening workshop at 7.15pm. We focus on connection and communication in dancing rather than technical aspects or patterns. Everybody can join. This workshop is suitable for beginners, who are new to Fusion, aswell as for experienced Fusion dancers to get warmed up and explore different aspects. There is always a new topic we focus on.

After that we dance together surrounded by coloful lights.

You don't necessarily need dancing shoes. Just bring comfy clothes, socks or dance barefoot. Whatever you prefer. We also want you to take good care of yourself (your boundaries, water intake, hygiene) and your dance partners (asking for consent, respecting a no as well as a yes).

Classic couple dances without basic steps, but with free improvisation? Is that possible? YES! In fusion dancing, we focus on improvising to the music and create our steps in the moment. Dance posture and principles are borrowed from swing, tango and other dances.

Everyone can lead and follow, everyone can dance!

Before the social there is an introductory workshop at 7:15 pm. We will focus on connection and communication in the dance and not on sequences of figures. Everyone can join in - this workshop is suitable for beginners to get to know each other as well as for experienced fusion dancers to arrive and discover new aspects! There is always a new theme that we focus on.

You don't necessarily need dance shoes. Just come in comfortable clothes, socks or dance barefoot. However you like. Take good care of yourself (your boundaries, drinking enough, hygiene) and your dance partners (consent, respecting a no as much as a yes).
