A concert with plenty of passion and joie de vivre: the Carmen Suites are based on Bizet's opera and offer a wonderful overview of the passionate and often tragic themes of "Carmen". The music is characterized by lively rhythms, emotional melodies and the typical Spanish colourfulness. Fauré's suite "Masques et Bergamasques" conveys a feeling of joie de vivre and cheerfulness, coupled with a subtle melancholy. You will also be surprised by a concerto for double bass.
