Freddie und die ganze Katastrophe

Freddie and the whole catastrophe (6+)

A family story. World premiere | 1st-4th grade | approx. 65 min.

Freddie is nine years old and knows everything about the greatest disasters in world history, about the volcanic eruption in Pompeii, the Great Plague and the sinking of the Titanic. And then the catastrophe comes to her home. When her parents start arguing and can't stop. And suddenly there is only silence. Out of anger, Freddie pours a jug of water on the table and suddenly not only is it under water, the whole apartment is flooded and turns into an ocean. Freddie finds himself on a large ship heading for an iceberg. For all those who leave the safe harbor but do not lose heart. "The director (...) and the ensemble bring a powerful metaphor to the stage with this play: it shows that even seemingly hopeless situations can be mastered with imagination and courage. The audience is in for a theatrical experience with depth, humor, live music and plenty of situation comedy."
