Immerse yourself in Saxony's women's history and be inspired by the biographies of remarkable women from the "frauenorte sachsen" project of the Landesfrauenrat Sachsen e.V. (Saxony Women's Council)!
In this staged reading, actress Sibylle Kuhne vividly brings to life the life stories of women who have shaped Saxony in a wide variety of ways - socially, culturally and in their craft. From courageous pioneers to inspiring artists - this reading pays tribute to the diversity and strength of women who have made history. Join us and look forward to an entertaining literary and musical program. The reading is a cooperation event of the Landesfrauenrat Sachsen e.V. with GEDOK Mitteldeutschland e.V. and Frauenkultur Leipzig.

SIBYLLE KUHNE is an actress and speaker. After studying at the Theaterhochschule Leipzig, engagements followed throughout Germany. She also works for radio, television and advertising. Together with Jörg Kaehler, she founded the "Theater Haus Birkenried" and the "Siegburger Freilichtspiele". She successfully presents literary-musical programs, including the theater solo "The American Popess" (Esther Vilar). Sibylle Kuhne is a member of GEDOK Mitteldeutschland e.V.

The Landesfrauenrat Sachsen e.V. is an umbrella organization with more than 40 women's associations, clubs and equality initiatives. Its aim is to achieve real equality of opportunity and equality between women and men. The project "frauenorte sachsen", implemented since 2016, honors historical women personalities who have shaped Saxony at all levels of society.
