Stéphen Delattre choreographs one of the greatest works of world literature to a new composition by Milko Lazar: FRANKENSTEIN by Mary Shelley. For more than 200 years and in countless variations, the gruesome story of the artificial creature has captivated people all over the world.
Mary Shelley's masterpiece has often been adapted for film and stage, but almost never as a ballet. The Delattre Dance Company now presents a furious spectacle about broken humanity, otherness and loneliness - themes that seem more relevant today than ever.
With FRANKENSTEIN, Stéphen Delattre is once again able to extract magical tenderness from an abysmal story and translate it into an emotionally charged body language.
