In the organizer's words:

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of small things and learn how to take impressive and razor-sharp macro photos.

Whether it's a flower, insect or drop of water: macro photography allows us to make the smallest details visible that are no longer visible to the naked eye. These beautiful and sometimes strange-looking visual worlds will be our playground in this photo workshop.

After a brief theoretical introduction and the technical and photographic features of macro photography , we will look at the advantages and disadvantages of different macro hardware. If you don't (yet) have your own macro lens or extension rings, you are welcome to try out suitable equipment on loan during the photo course.

Afterwards, we will move straight on to the main part of the photo course and go in search of interesting plants, insects and other details with the camera in order to try out and deepen what we have learned . Lots of useful tips, suggestions and tricks will help you to find motifs, use light as a creative tool and refine your technique.

We mainly work with natural ambient light, reflectors and portable light. We will also introduce small aids and tools that no macro photographer's bag should be without. You will also learn how to recreate the various shooting techniques at home in the garden or on the balcony using inexpensive accessories.

The course is aimed at both beginners and advanced photographers who would like to improve their macro photography skills or learn a trick or two.

Personal support in a small group

Individual support for each participant is very important to me and you will be picked up exactly where you are. You will receive immediate feedback and suggestions on location and we will take the time to work on our pictures in depth.

I will help you to master the technique, find interesting details and work out new picture ideas.
