Fotoausstellung Ukraine: War & Resistance

In cooperation with Fulbright Ukraine and the Institute of International Education (IIE) KyivOfice, the association Cheezze e. V.-Manufaktur für zeitgenössische Fotografie presents the moving exhibition Ukraine: War and Resistance.
With the support of Ukraine Hilfe Paderborn e. V. and Ukrainisch-DeutscheFreundschaft e. V. Paderborn, the exhibition shows 40 photographs by Fulbright alumni documenting the life and resistance of the Ukrainian population.
Most of the pictures were taken after the large-scale invasion by Russia on 24 February 2022, with some dating back to 2014. The Fulbright program, one of the world's leading academic exchange programs, has existed in Ukraine since 1992 and promotes academic, cultural and artistic exchange. The exhibition was first shown at the Vinnytsia Museum (Ukraine) in 2022 and has since been shown in several countries, including the USA, Germany and Canada.
The vernissage will take place on February 22, 2025 at 7 pm and will be opened by Sabine Kramm (2nd Deputy Mayor of the City of Paderborn) and Nataliia Petrenko (1st Chairwoman Ukrainian-German Friendship e. V. Paderborn).
The Ukrainian Choir Paderborn and the musician Seva Bukhalo will accompany the vernissage with music and the exhibition offers a platform for artistic expression, education and dialog. Visitors will gain authentic insights into personal stories and challenges. There will be an opportunity for direct exchange on site, also in Ukrainian.
