The Young Research Forum enters the next round! For the fourth time, the ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage is inviting students and young academics to present the results of their research work.
Every year, countless research papers and project results are produced by students and young academics in the context of National Socialism, colonialism, the culture of remembrance, democracy and civil courage. They have enormous potential for science and civil society - and yet often disappear into a drawer.
The "Forum for Young Researchers" once again offers students and young academics the opportunity to present their research at a public evening event. The focus is on scientific theses. The aim of the event is to draw public attention to young research projects and to present and discuss their results in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
This year, we are delighted to have four speakers with diverse and exciting input:
Laura Elisa Appelhagen: The Dr. H. E. Göring Colonial House in the structures of the city of Hanover 1938-1945
Till Ewald: The right-wing terrorist "German Action Groups" and the contemporary asylum discourse
Neil Filler: The revolution of 1848/49 in Hanoverian memory
Marie-Luise Sittauer: Youth in the concentration camp - minors in the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp
First, the speakers will give a brief insight into the results of their research. In the subsequent "beer mat rounds", the audience is invited to ask questions in writing, which will be included in the discussion by the moderator. At the end of the event, there will be an opportunity for further informal discussions over a lemonade.
The event is part of the series "[Z]ivilcourage jetzt!" by ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage.
Registration is not required, seating is limited. The event will take place in the basement, barrier-free access to the event is possible.
