The ninth edition of the international and transdisciplinary mentorship program "Forecast" comes to its festive conclusion on 14-15 March with the "Forecast Festival 9" at Radialsystem.
Choreography - design - photography - performance art - documentary film - voice art: the selected projects from the six mentoring fields of the ninth edition of "Forecast" will be premiered in a variety of events at the festival by artists, performers, musicians, designers and filmmakers after ten months of collaboration with renowned mentors. The diverse program ranges from installations and screenings to design objects, dance, music and sound performances and takes place in the entire Radialsystem building. In addition to the projects developed by the mentees, artistic works by the mentors will also be presented. In addition, "Forecast" invites five scholarship holders from the European LINA platform to organize walks and workshops in and around the Radialsystem.
From over 1,100 applications from more than 100 countries, the mentors of the international mentorship program selected six projects at the "Forecast Forum" in July 2024 and provided curatorial support until their presentation at the "Forecast Festival". This year's mentor team consists of the composer and performer Ute Wassermann (Germany), the documentary filmmaker Tomer Heymann (Israel), the visual artist Theo Eshetu (UK), the choreographer Alice Ripoll (Brazil), the photographer Lieko Shiga (Japan) and the designer Fiona Raby (UK).
