Who are we/what does ROSA (RollingSafeSpace) do?

A mobile contact point for women on the run

ROSA e.V. is a non-profit organization that has set itself the goal of thinking humanitarian aid in a gender-sensitive way and providing safe spaces for women on the run.

Since March 8, 2022, the Rolling Safespace has been located on the Attica peninsula in Greece, where three refugee shelters north of Athens are regularly visited throughout the year: Ritsona, Malakasa and Thiva.

In October 2022, the first ROSA local groups were founded in Germany to actively campaign for safe escape routes for all genders. There are now already local groups in nine German cities, some of which have established their own Safer Spaces in their cities.

We are the local group in Düsseldorf and are now taking part in the "FLINTA Sprinter Winter" campaign and invite you to visit the new Pink Truck in Düsseldorf from February 18 to 19.

What is the campaign about?

The new ROSA truck will make stops in various cities of the local groups before its journey to Greece, where it will provide important aid. It will be present at demonstrations and events to give you the opportunity to learn more about the work in Greece, gain insights and raise awareness of the situation there.

This stop offers the opportunity to talk to each other, open up new perspectives and perhaps even inspire people to work in Greece or in the local groups.

This includes

• a poster exhibition and a photo exhibition about the work of ROSA
• a video installation that illustrates how precarious the situation is in refugee shelters across Europe a ROSA stand where you can talk to ROSAS:)
• An empowerment tent to be able to exchange ideas in a more protected space
