This wild mixture of chamber play, science fiction mind game and dystopian vision of the future smacks us in the face with the hard-to-digest reality of the climate crisis in a delightfully entertaining way. And yet there are a few silver linings of hope in the smoke-blackened sky.

On a scheduled flight from London to Tokyo, a woman gains access to the cockpit and calmly but firmly demands a change of course. She says she is from the future. While the crew tries to deal with the situation and the unsuspecting passengers pass the time, disturbing news enters the plane. A fire in Apulia, sparked by climate change, continues to spread. A chain reaction that sets the whole world ablaze.

Slowly, it dawns on those involved that something is going off the rails. 416 people are caught in the same trap. Or is it an ark? A tableau of different biographies, worries, memories and hopes spreads out before us. People who have lived their lives and not taken the greatest danger seriously - until the question arises as to whether fate can be changed.
